The View from Michael Moore's Eyes

I was pointed to this picture by a blog reader, and I saw it later on Fox News. This is from Michael Moore's website. As he sees it, the non-crazy Kerry states belong to the US of C, wheras we religious zealots belong to Jesusland. I don't think he belongs to this world.

As a Jew who was born in Canada, and lived there until I was 13 or so (which constitutes a majority of my life thus far), I just love being declared a citizen of Jesusland because I voted for Bush. I think condescending to Bush voters is an excellent way to persuade them to switch sides in 2008. If distraught and outraged Democrats call me enough names, how could I possibly resist voting for the Democratic nominee in 2008?

Despite voting for Bush, I'm still a registered Democrat, though I might be persuaded to change that if Democrats don't get some semblance of a grip after they're done sitting shiv'a for the Kerry campaign.

One sign of the Democrats' peculiar mix of grief and self-congratulation is this phony IQ chart making its way around the web. The IQ numbers are made up out of whole cloth (and, if you thought about it for a second, and applied some math, you'd see how implausible they are in the first place) but the interesting thing is how many people believe the chart because they simply want to believe it. (Steve Sailer wrote a decent debunking of the chart here.)

Personally I find the map to be quite funny. Perhaps it's time to relax and laugh at something, even if it does poke fun at your beliefs. A little relaxation after a strenuous election is just what the doctor ordered.

Keep this in mind when his new movie, reportedly called Sicko, and touting the Canadian health-care lines... er... system, comes out. Ask yourself: if patriotism is loving your country, which country is he more patriotic about, the USA or Canada?

p.s. never fear, Republican Dan. If it did happen, we'd liberate you. It's not like the U.S. of C. would have a military.

p.p.s. It looks like Sicko is on hold while Moore works on "Fahrenheit 9/11-and-a-half." Oh well.
